Job summary

APTIM seeks motivated entry-level engineers to join our Federal Fueling programs. You will work across all project phases, from planning and design to construction oversight and commissioning, with hands-on field exposure and coordination with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates will have an ABET-accredited engineering degree, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel 10–15% of the time. AutoCAD experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• US citizenship and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret specifications, drawings, and field data for constructability and compliance.
• Prepare scopes of work, specifications, drawings, material lists, estimates, calculations, work methods, and project reports.
• Complete RFIs, review submittals, and select materials with field and subcontractor coordination in mind.
• Apply standards from API, NFPA, ASME, ASCE, ACI, and other bodies to ensure compliant designs and field execution.
• Observe construction activities and verify compliance with codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to resolve field challenges and align with project objectives.
• Organize and manage documents to support construction activities and regulatory requirements.
• Gather productivity data for pipeline installation, earthwork, and concrete work to support planning.
