Job summary

APTIM seeks motivated entry level engineers to join our Federal Fueling programs, delivering engineering and construction services for aviation fueling facilities worldwide from tanks to fueling systems. Engineers apply critical thinking across planning, procurement support, design development, construction oversight, and commissioning, with hands-on field exposure and collaboration with subcontractors and teams.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• US citizenship and ability to pass a background check.
• FE and EIT candidates preferred.
• Willingness to travel 10-15%.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and field data for constructability and compliance.
• Prepare scopes, specs, drawings, material lists, estimates, calculations, methods, and reports.
• Submit RFIs, review submittals, and select materials with field coordination.
• Uphold standards from API, NFPA, ASME, ASCE, ACI, and others; ensure design and field execution meet requirements.
• Observe construction activities; verify compliance with codes and company procedures.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to meet project objectives and clarify technical requirements.
• Organize and manage documents to support construction activities and regulatory needs.
• Gather productivity data for pipeline, earthwork, concrete, and related activities.
