Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an entry level engineer to learn HVAC controls and BAS on the Federal Systems team supporting Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Y-12 National Security Complex on a full-time basis. The role will start as a Field Controls Technician to learn the equipment and systems in the field.

You will gain hands-on experience with Metasys, Distech, and other control systems, with a clear growth path and a day shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/HVAC/Industrial Engineering.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain government security clearances.
• Interest in HVAC controls and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning and checkouts of HVAC controls.
• Diagnose and repair electronic and digital control system malfunctions.
• Document field changes, provide training materials and assist with system drawings.
• Read blueprints and manuals; ensure compliance with safety standards.
