Job summary

TravisMathew is seeking a Junior Materials Developer to assist in fabric and trim development for the Men’s line. You will work with Design, Development and Sourcing teams to translate aesthetic requirements into bulk-ready fabrics that align with cost targets and sourcing strategy.

In this role, you will manage fabric submissions, track development progress, and maintain organized documentation while collaborating with vendors to ensure high-quality materials are brought to market on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or technical trade school (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in material sourcing and development

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Design, Merch, Development & Sourcing teams to develop in season fabrics for Men’s line.
  • Responsible for 1-2 Inline Pillars seasonal fabric developments into bulk ready fabrics meeting quality standards and timelines.
  • Track fabric, lab dip and print submissions, developments, pricing and approvals in PLM system.
  • Maintain development files and reports for documentation and seasonal recaps.
  • Prepare and present development trials with key stakeholders to assist with fabric/trim adoption.
  • Communicate sourcing requirements to vendors and mills.
  • Review and follow-up to ensure all test results pass.
  • Develop 1-2 Inline Pillars seasonal trim items (Buttons, Labels, Zippers, hardware).
  • Maintain trim library with material specs, lead times, pricing.
  • Organize lab dips, strike offs and trim developments by season.
  • Meet deadlines for developments and ensure approvals and documentation for sampling.
