Job summary

TravisMathew, a premium apparel brand rooted in Southern California, seeks a Junior Materials Developer to assist in fabric and trim development for the Men's line. You will partner with Design, Merch, Development & Sourcing to create in-season fabrics that meet quality standards and timelines.

Responsibilities include coordinating lab dips, coordinating with vendors and mills, tracking developments in PLM, and preparing development trials to support fabric and trim adoption across seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical program required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in material sourcing and development.
• Proficiency with PLM and design collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Design, Merch, Development & Sourcing to develop in-season fabrics for Men’s line.
• Participate in fabric selection and ensure bulk-ready fabrics meet quality standards and timelines.
• Identify manufacturing issues and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Track fabric, lab dip, and print submissions in PLM and manage yardage commitments.
• Prepare and present development trials to assist with fabric/trim adoption.
