Forbes Bros. Group of Companies in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Junior Estimator to support cost estimates, proposals, and commercial submissions for utility construction projects.

Working alongside estimators, senior estimators, and project teams, you will assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimates for labour, materials, fleet, and subcontracted work.

This developmental role offers mentorship, hands-on training, and field exposure to build your estimating competencies and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a related degree is preferred.
• Experience with construction drawings, quantity take-offs, and estimating concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and bid documents to support estimate preparation.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labour, materials, fleet, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Support pricing reviews, exclusions, qualifications, clarifications, and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to obtain pricing and maintain records.
• Assist with RFQ and RFP reviews, bid summaries, and bid submissions.
