Job summary

Uprite Construction is seeking an Associate Estimator to join our Preconstruction team in Roseville, California. You will support Senior Estimators in preparing estimates, takeoffs, and bid packages for commercial projects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of commercial estimating experience with a commercial GC, strong reading of drawings, and solid mathematical skills. A Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial estimating experience.
• Estimating experience working directly for a commercial GC.
• Experience estimating ground-up commercial projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing conceptual and detailed construction estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Prepare bid packages and scope comparisons.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support value engineering efforts throughout preconstruction.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with bid leveling.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings with internal teams.
• Assist with project budgeting and estimate updates throughout design.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure a smooth project handoff after award.
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
• Continuously develop estimating knowledge and construction expertise.
