Job summary

Uprite Construction is seeking an Associate Estimator to join our Preconstruction team in Boise, Idaho. You will work closely with Senior Estimators to prepare accurate estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and support the preconstruction process from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.

The role requires 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience with a commercial GC, ability to read and interpret drawings, strong math and analytical skills, and excellent

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience working directly for a commercial general contractor
• Experience estimating ground-up commercial projects preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/specifications
• Strong math/analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing conceptual and detailed construction estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Prepare bid packages and scope comparisons
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Support value engineering efforts throughout preconstruction
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with bid leveling
• Participate in preconstruction meetings with internal teams
• Assist with project budgeting and estimate updates during design
• Coordinate with Operations for smooth handoff after award
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation
• Continuously develop estimating knowledge and construction expertise
