Job summary

Uprite Construction in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Associate Estimator to join its growing Preconstruction team. You will work closely with Senior Estimators to prepare accurate estimates and support preconstruction from budgeting through bid submission.

The role requires 2+ years in commercial construction estimating for a GC, ability to read drawings, strong math and communication, and a bachelor’s degree in CM or engineering.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Estimating experience working directly for a commercial general contractor.
• Experience estimating ground-up commercial construction projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing conceptual and detailed construction estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Prepare bid packages and scope comparisons.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support value engineering efforts throughout preconstruction.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with bid leveling.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings with internal teams.
• Assist with project budgeting and estimate updates throughout design.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure a smooth project handoff after award.
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
• Continuously develop estimating knowledge and construction expertise.
