Job summary

Uprite Construction in Roseville, CA is seeking an Associate Estimator to join our growing Preconstruction team. You must live within commutable distance to the listed location.

The Junior Estimator will work closely with Senior Estimators and Preconstruction Managers to prepare accurate estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate subcontractor proposals, and support the preconstruction process from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating for commercial general contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing conceptual and detailed construction estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Prepare bid packages and scope comparisons.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support value engineering during preconstruction.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with bid leveling.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings with internal teams.
• Assist with project budgeting and estimate updates through design.
• Coordinate with Operations for a smooth handoff after award.
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
• Continuously develop estimating knowledge and construction expertise.
