Hart Mechanical Contractors in Miami, FL seeks a Junior Estimator to support plan reviews, quantity takeoffs, pricing analyses, and estimate preparation for commercial mechanical projects.

You will gain hands-on experience alongside seasoned estimators, project managers, and operations leaders, developing expertise in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems while contributing to bid reviews and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction, estimating, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, or demonstrated ability and willingness to learn.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to learn quantity takeoff and estimating software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities; Demonstrated commitment to accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand project scope.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical systems.
• Identify material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
• Assist in identifying scope gaps, discrepancies, and estimating risks.

• Maintain estimating databases and pricing information.

• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for completeness and competitiveness.
• Work closely with estimators, project managers, and field leadership.
• Participate in bid reviews and proposal development.
• Learn industry standards and estimating best practices.
• Support process improvement initiatives that enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Summary

Hart Mechanical Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and motivatedJunior Estimatorto join our growing team in Miami, Florida.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands‑on experience in mechanical construction estimating while working alongside experienced estimators, project managers, and operational leaders. The Junior Estimator will support the preconstruction process through plan review, quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and estimate preparation for commercial mechanical construction projects.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to develop expertise in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction systems.

What You'll Do
