Role Overview

Seeking a Junior Trader to join the fundamental equities trading team. The role involves collaboration with Traders, Portfolio Managers, and other teams to support trading execution activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute equity order flow using various execution channels and management systems.
• Contribute to best practice execution on trades, ensuring optimal service to Portfolio Managers.
• Collaborate with Traders/Portfolio Managers to discuss positions, flows, and market dynamics.
• Extract market color and flow information from trading counterparties and other sources.
• Liaise with Front Office Technology for process and workflow improvements.
• Manage counterparty relationships and commission schedules.

Required Experience

• Some knowledge of equities markets.
• Experience/Familiarity with Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• Academic credentials in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Understanding of general market protocol, equity pricing, and positioning.
• Knowledge of broker-sponsored algorithms, broker cash desks, dark pools, and DMA facilities (a plus).
• Fluency with trading technology, execution management systems, and order management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Commitment to high ethical and professional standards.

Compensation

Base pay expected between $120,000 and $140,000, with potential for performance bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
