The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, seeks Junior Engineers for our Design Unit in various sections. Successful candidates will receive hands-on training and undertake engineering tasks ranging from moderate to complex, including research, investigations, assessments, and civil engineering tasks of moderate complexity under supervision.

The scope of work and training may include design, drafting, investigations, cost estimation, specification writing, structural calculations, field surveys, and site inspections.

Minimum Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university, or
• A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering technology with two years of full-time satisfactory civil engineering experience.

Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The NYC Department of Design and Construction does not sponsor visas. Applicants must meet all requirements at the time of application.
