The Department of Design and Construction's Division of Infrastructure seeks Junior Engineers for multiple roles within the Design Unit. Successful candidates will receive hands-on training and contribute to engineering tasks ranging from moderate to complex. Responsibilities include conducting research, engineering investigations, assessments, civil engineering tasks under supervision, and participating in design, drafting, investigations, cost estimation, specification writing, structural calculations, field surveys, and site inspections.
Authorization to work in the United States is required. NYC Department of Design and Construction does not sponsor visas. Applicants must meet all qualifying requirements at the time of application.

Preferred Skills
Outstanding communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, experience with infrastructure projects, familiarity with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDEP specifications, MUTCD, AASHTO standards, and knowledge of NYC infrastructure and engineering practices. Primavera P6 scheduling and ENV SP credential are advantageous.
