Job summary

Indianapolis Power & Light Company, a unit within AES, seeks an Assistant to Engineer Jr in Indianapolis. Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must pass EEI TECH test.
Must have 36 credit hours in ABET accredited engineering/engineering technology curriculum or be active/able to become active in schooling to meet requirements.
Five years of related skilled-trade experience or prior Assistant to Engineer, Jr role.

Responsibilities

Provide sub-professional technical assistance for civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical engineering disciplines.
Prepare field layouts, prints, plans, or work orders.
Perform load/voltage, emissions, flows, or test analysis for assigned projects.
Coordinate work with survey crews and advise customers, contractors, and vendors.
May train less senior employees and ensure compliance with safety policies.
