Energy Solutions in Oakland, CA is seeking an Engineer I to support energy efficiency and technical programs by analyzing energy savings, evaluating equipment and project costs, researching technologies, and ensuring accurate program delivery. You will work with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to apply engineering principles to real-world projects and prepare technical documentation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2 years of relevant engineering, energy efficiency, utility, sustainability, technical consulting, or related professional experience.
• Experience applying engineering principles to technical analyses or calculations.
• Experience performing or supporting energy, demand, equipment performance, cost, or similar technical calculations.
• Experience analyzing technical data and evaluating information for accuracy and completeness.
• Experience using spreadsheets, databases, engineering tools, or reporting applications to support technical work.
• Experience preparing technical calculations, documentation, reports, or presentations.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes equipment eligibility, customer eligibility, project applications, and supporting documentation against established program requirements.
• Analyzes equipment submittals, plans, technical documentation, and application information to support program implementation.
• Verifies customer-submitted data and technical inputs for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Applies established engineering methodologies and inputs to calculate energy, demand, and cost savings.
• Develops accurate savings values for program implementation, client reporting, and invoicing.
• Analyzes equipment cost data to calculate incremental measure costs.
• Assesses technical data and conditions to support evaluations and program delivery.
• Escalates unusual results or discrepancies to senior staff for guidance.
• Researches energy efficiency technologies, industry trends, and technical requirements.
• Applies quality checks to inputs and outputs for accuracy in program systems and reporting.
• Identifies issues and escalates them appropriately.
