Job summary

AV is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer I (Embedded) to join a fast-moving, collaborative Agile team. You will plan, design, develop and test software for embedded systems and cloud-based tools in an environment that supports learning and growth.

You will work with a group of engineers, write quality code, participate in design reviews, and contribute to the full lifecycle from design to deployment under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 0–2 years of Windows or Linux application software development experience.
• Expertise in C#, Java, C++, or Web UI.
• Familiarity with source code configuration tools such as SVN and Git.
• Experience writing unit tests and debugging techniques.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, databases, and OS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Works within a defined software life cycle development process.
• Supports the full life-cycle of product including design, coding, debugging, test, deployment and maintenance.
• Writes quality, modular, reusable, testable code and unit tests.
• Participates in software design reviews.
• Delivers work on time according to project schedule and budget.
• Uses project tracking tools to log work and status.
