You will contribute to electrical design across multiple project types, including distribution, substations, and protective relaying, while gaining experience in arc flash and short‑circuit studies. The role is in‑office in Champaign, with a focus on growth and development within a collaborative engineering team.

Qualifications

• 4‑Year Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Entry level; diverse range of experience considered.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP (or other power systems analysis software) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and adapt standard techniques for electrical projects.
• Conceptualize initial electrical design and oversee electrical engineering work.
• Coordinate with plan/specs, design/build, and construction manager roles.
• Supervise design and progress of projects with city/state officials and outside agencies.
• Resolve complex design problems and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare electrical construction drawings, specs, contract documents, and estimates; participate in bidding and on-site management.
• Conduct electrical systems analyses such as arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies.
• Understand power system protection and relaying schemes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
