Job summary
Hazen & Sawyer is seeking an entry-level electrical engineer in Charlotte, NC, focusing on industrial power design encompassing medium and low voltage distribution, generator design, and motor controls.
The ideal candidate will assist lead engineers on projects for water and wastewater facilities, support electrical calculations, and ensure interdisciplinary coordination. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required along with strong communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial Electrical Engineering and Design.
- Ability to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) certification within 2 years of the start of employment.
Responsibilities
- Support lead electrical engineer(s) on multiple concurrent projects for water and wastewater facilities.
- Prepare project specifications and edit corporate electrical master specifications as needed.
- Perform electrical calculations under supervision of a registered professional engineer.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure project integration.
- Conduct site visits throughout the project phases.
- Complete construction administration tasks including review of shop drawings.
