Qualifications

• 7-11 years of experience in electrical engineering and design in water/wastewater or other heavy industrial industry.
• Knowledge in medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, and motor control.
• Good working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
• Lead electrical engineer on water/wastewater projects and supervision of staff.
• Strong NEC/code knowledge and client interaction skills.
• AutoCAD experience required; Revit, SKM and ETAP preferred.
• 7–11 years of electrical design experience in water/wastewater or heavy industry.

Job description

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects.

• Qualified candidate should have knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities.
• Candidates should have a good working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
• Candidate must also have good communication skills, including interaction with clients and contractors.
• Candidate will serve as the lead electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities. Responsibilities include supervision of less experienced staff working on projects, and interaction with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
• AutoCAD experience is a must, Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software is desirable.
• Prior project leadership experience is desirable.
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs.
• 7-11 years of experience in electrical engineering and design in water/wastewater or other heavy industrial industry is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
