Job summary

Hazen & Sawyer is seeking an entry-level electrical engineer for our Charlotte, NC office. The role focuses on industrial power design, including medium and low voltage distribution, generator design, motor controls, lighting, and equipment layout.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
0-2 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial electrical engineering and design.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and strong communication.
Ability to obtain EIT certification within 2 years of start date.

Responsibilities

Support lead electrical engineers on multiple projects for water and wastewater facilities.
Prepare project specifications and edit master electrical specifications as needed.
Perform conductor, conduit sizing and electrical calculations under supervision.
Coordinate with civil, process-mechanical, structural, HVAC, and instrumentation teams.
Perform AutoCAD/Revit design work and power system studies as required.
