Job summary

Upcoresolutions is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer (EIT) to join our growing MEP team in Austin. You will assist with electrical building systems design, calculations, and construction documentation under licensed engineers.

The role targets early-career engineers eager to develop skills in power, lighting, and code compliance across diverse building projects. On-the-job mentorship and opportunities toward a P.E. license are provided.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• EIT certification required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• 2-3 years of electrical engineering experience preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or prior experience in consulting engineering or building systems is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical system design for power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Prepare electrical plans, load calculations, panel schedules, and specifications for construction documents.
• Support engineering calculations and analyses under supervision of licensed engineers.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction.
• Participate in field visits, site investigations, and construction observations.
