Job summary

Career Crunch is seeking a motivated Junior Plumbing Engineer (EIT) to join our MEP team in Austin, TX. This role offers early-career engineers the chance to develop expertise in domestic water, sanitary, and drainage design under supervision of licensed PEs.

You will assist with calculations, constructions documents, field investigations, and multidisciplinary coordination on commercial, educational, municipal, healthcare, and institutional projects, building hands-on experience for licensure.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or related engineering field from an accredited university.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or achievable within six months of hire.
• 2–3 years of engineering experience preferred; internship/co-op in MEP consulting a plus.
• Basic familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit; plumbing knowledge is beneficial.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and specialty plumbing systems.
• Perform calculations for pipe sizing, fixture counts, water demand, drainage, and equipment selection.
• Support preparation of construction drawings, specs, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, and reviews of shop drawings and RFIs.
