Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer in New York City to support electrical system design for built environments, including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. You’ll work on projects across markets such as K-12, higher education, healthcare, and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 0-3 years’ design experience in electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support design of electrical systems including lighting, power, and life safety for renovations, new facilities and modernization projects.
• Review design documentation and perform field surveys to document existing conditions and conduct construction administration.
• Conduct load calculations for building equipment replacement and upgrades.
• Support load sizing and service requirements for beneficial electrification projects.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines.
