Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support design and field activities across commercial and industrial facilities. You’ll work through life cycle phases from concept through operation and maintenance, with cross-disciplinary teams and site visits.

Responsibilities include power, lighting, fire alarm and security systems design, facility assessments, cost analyses, and construction management. ABET-accredited degree with up to 2 years’ experience preferred; EIT a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Zero to two years experience with a focus on Power in Electrical Engineering.
• Prefer EIT license or prior engineering co-op/internship experience.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint and email applications; working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

Responsibilities

• Design of commercial and industrial power, lighting, communications, fire alarm and security systems (plans, specs, and cost estimates).
• Perform facility condition assessments and capital asset management planning.
• Perform detailed cost analyses and material take-offs of a variety of building types throughout the US and other countries.
• Perform construction management for ongoing construction efforts.
• Work with multi-disciplinary design teams.
