Job summary

Middough Inc. seeks an Electrical Designer to create simple designs aligned with codes and client requirements. You will generate drawings, support project leads, and guide drafters to ensure standards are followed.

The role requires AutoCAD and Revit proficiency, an Associate Degree, 5–7 years drafting experience, knowledge of NEC, and power distribution. Travel may be required; strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit design.
• Associate Degree in a technical discipline or related experience.
• 5 - 7 years of drafting experience.
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes, reference documents and guides.
• Knowledge of power distribution (480V - 12kV, lighting, grounding, motor controls, and heat tracing).
• Demonstrated electrical design experience in energy, chemical or industrial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate design and detail drawings including plans/sections, and isometrics to support Discipline Leads.
• Manage and maintain the Project Documentation (e.g., flat files, reference/stick files, CAD drawings).
• Potential to serve as a Project Lead and/or Discipline Lead for select single discipline projects to estimate work hours, develop scope of work, check drawings, complete quality processes, provide monthly updates, and attend project meetings.
• Interact with Clients to convey project design and identify scope changes.
• Interact with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.
