Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and support overhead and underground distribution systems from 4kV to 138kV. You will work under a technical lead to develop detailed design packages, perform calculations, and provide field and office-based support for distribution projects.

The role offers hands-on experience with utility design, permitting, and construction support, plus exposure to GIS, design tools, and client processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with overhead/underground distribution design 4kV–138kV.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience with GIS tools ArcGIS/ArcMap.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and construction work packages for OH and UG distribution systems (4kV–138kV).
• Perform engineering calculations including pole loading, sag and tension, voltage drop.
• Develop permitting documents for AHJs.
• Provide field and office-based support during distribution projects.
• Travel to project sites for inspections and data collection.
• Coordinate with utilities and stakeholders to resolve conflicts.
