Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking an EEG Technician Entry to support the EEG and EMU departments in the outpatient lab and at bedside. This transitional role provides close supervision and offers pathways toward more senior technologist positions.

Responsibilities include performing basic EEG procedures, assisting with equipment, ensuring patient safety, and documenting procedures following ABRET guidelines. The role is 0.5 FTE with two 10-hour shifts weekly in Colorado Springs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Actively enrolled in or graduate of an ABRET recognized EEG training program.
• Six months of experience in Electroneurodiagnostics including clinicals.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR certification.
• Board Eligible according to ABRET Pathways.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent EEG procedures as appropriate; assists with neonatal ECS and PET EEGs.
• Maintains equipment and lab cleanliness; reports malfunctions.
• Completes documentation for procedures and EEG file preparation.
• Adheres to the 10-20 system and basic troubleshooting for artifacts.
• Follows ACNS guidelines and safety procedures.
