Job summary

Children's Mercy seeks a Neurophysiology Technologist I to perform EEG testing for ages newborn to 21 within our Neurodiagn physiology lab. You will support pediatric patients with age-appropriate care while maintaining efficient lab operations and a collaborative team environment.

The role requires HS diploma and 1–2 years of clinical neurodiagnostic experience; enrollment or graduation from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program is preferred, with EEG registry eligibility advantageous.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience. Student experience gained through the Neurodiagnostic program is accepted.
• Currently enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
• Registry Eligible EEG Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs electroencephalogram testing within the Guidelines of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society on patients ranging in age from newborn to 21 years of age.
• Provides care with consideration of patient’s age, diagnosis, psycho-social characteristics and family stressors that affect ability to understand or retain instructions. Maintain service excellence in all aspects of neurophysiology lab operations.
• Maintains efficient operations of the neurophysiology laboratory.
• Demonstrates commitment to teamwork, quality improvement, and learning
