Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Duluth, MN is seeking an Associate Design Engineer to design and support R&D projects, translating customer requirements into internal specs for space-grade inductors and transformers.

You will collaborate with manufacturing to optimize processes, provide production-line support, and utilize CAD tools to create PCBAs, tooling and fixtures, while analyzing test data and reporting results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 0–5 years of electrical engineering experience in product development.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to translate design and process ideas into specs.
• Able to work independently on complex projects.
• Team player with leadership potential and strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Design and support of R&D projects from manufacturing process development through production release.
• Translate customer specifications into internal specs for space‑grade magnetic components (inductors & transformers).
• Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize manufacturability, cost, and quality.
• Provide production line support for power products.
• Use CAD tools to design PCBAs, tooling and fixtures.
• Test products, analyze data, and publish test reports.
