Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology in Duluth, MN, seeks an Associate Design Engineer to join the on-site team. The role covers R&D design and production support for power supplies, translating customer specs into internal requirements and designing space-grade inductors and transformers.

You will work with manufacturing to optimize processes for cost, manufacturability, and quality, and use CAD tools to design and fabricate PCBAs, tooling and fixtures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Zero to five years electrical engineering experience-based product development.
• Ability to translate design and process ideas into usable specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and support of R&D projects including manufacturing process development through production release.
• Design of space grade magnetic components (inductors & transformers) and PCBAs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize processes for manufacturability, cost, and quality.
• Provide production line support for power products.
• Utilize CAD tools to design and fabricate PCBAs, tooling and fixtures.
• Perform product testing, analyze test data, and publish test reports.
