Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Duluth, MN is seeking an Associate Design Engineer to design and support R&D projects, translating customer requirements into internal specs for space-grade inductors and transformers.

You will collaborate with manufacturing to optimize processes, provide production-line support, and utilize CAD tools to create PCBAs, tooling and fixtures, while analyzing test data and reporting results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 0–5 years of electrical engineering experience in product development.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to translate design and process ideas into specs.
  • Able to work independently on complex projects.
  • Team player with leadership potential and strong customer service orientation.

Associate Design Engineer

We are seeking great talent to help us build The DNA of tech.

Job Location

This position will be on‑site at the Duluth, MN facility, near Airpark Blvd and Haines Road.

What You Will Do
  • Responsible for design and support of R&D projects including manufacturing process development through production release and support of legacy power supply products.
  • Evaluate customer specifications and convert requirements into internal specifications. Design space‑grade magnetic components (inductors & transformers).
  • Work with manufacturing team to optimize processes for manufacturability, cost, and quality.
  • Provide production line support for power products.
  • Utilize CAD tools to design and fabricate PCBAs, tooling and fixtures.
  • Perform product testing, analyze test data, and publish test reports.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 0–5 years of electrical engineering experience‑based product development.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude and ability to translate design and process ideas into usable specifications.
  • Ability to work independently to develop or manage complex projects.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and/or project leader.
  • High degree of customer service orientation.
What We Offer

Pay range: $65,000–$75,000.
