Job summary

SMX in Hartford, CT is seeking a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client. You will design solutions using Databricks and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements, build data models, and translate stakeholder needs into technical specs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data engineering/science, proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, and experience with DoD environments and cloud architectures. A BS in CS/CE/EE and active Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on development experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Pyspark.
• Experience in data engineering, data science and data analytics.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Knowledge of cloud architectures (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with DoD projects and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design new solutions using Databricks (SQL, Python, Pyspark) and Palantir Foundry to meet business requirements.
• Design modifications to existing data model solutions as needed.
• Define test cases and verify test results.
• Build data models and reports using ERP and legacy system data.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to determine reporting requirements and convert business requirements into technical specifications.
