Job summary

Albireo Energy, LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer – Data Centers to design, program, and maintain PLCs and Ignition SCADA for mission-critical infrastructure. You will implement Rockwell/Allen-Bradley control logic, develop SCADA screens, alarms, and trending, and integrate with Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, and OPC UA in uptime-focused environments.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical/computer/mechatronics engineering, 1+ year in industrial automation, and readiness to travel for

Qualifications

1+ years in industrial automation, controls engineering, or SCADA development.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 / RSLogix 500.
Experience designing Ignition SCADA applications.
Knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, OPC UA.
Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
Must be based in Eastern or Central time zone.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, and maintain PLC control logic using Rockwell platforms.
Design and configure Ignition SCADA applications with HMI, alarms, and trends.
Integrate PLCs, SCADA, and third-party devices using Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA.
Support data center EPMS and critical infrastructure systems.
Assist in architecture, controls design, and network layout for automation.
Participate in factory testing, site commissioning, and startup activities.
Diagnose and resolve control, SCADA, and communication issues in live environments.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and IT/OT teams; maintain documentation.
