Job summary

Albireo Energy, LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer for data centers with hands-on PLC programming and Ignition SCADA development experience. You will support high-availability infrastructure, integrate multiple systems, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure uptime.

The role requires experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition, and industrial networking, plus willingness to travel for commissioning in uptime-sensitive environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on experience in industrial automation or SCADA development.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming (Studio 5000/RSLogix500).
• Experience developing or supporting Ignition SCADA applications.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Willingness to travel for commissioning and deployment activities.
• Based in Eastern or Central time zone in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and maintain PLC logic using Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Design and configure Ignition SCADA applications with HMIs and alarming.
• Integrate PLCs, SCADA, and third‑party devices using Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, OPC UA.
• Support data center power monitoring and critical infrastructure systems.
• Assist in system architecture, controls design, and network layout.
• Participate in factory testing, site commissioning, and startup activities.
• Diagnose and resolve control, SCADA, and communication issues in live environments.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and IT/OT engineers; maintain documentation.
