Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Junior Cyber Incident Analyst - Notification Specialist for our Federal Strategic Cyber program in Arlington, VA on site. You will monitor data sources to identify incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities for CISA, and provide cyber risk briefings to civilian agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years may substitute for the degree.
• Solid understanding of cyber-attacks and impact on IT systems.
• Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and mapping of TTPs to tactics/techniques.
• IP triage and ownership attribution using WHOIS, ARIN/RIPE/APNIC, passive DNS, OSINT.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI; DHS background adjudication may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data sources to identify cybersecurity incidents and notify stakeholders.
• Provide classified and unclassified cyber risk briefings.
• Manage incident triage and coordinate IT impact analyses.
• Map observed TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK during triage.
• Conduct on-site IP triage using WHOIS and RIR databases.
• Support containment, investigation, and remediation efforts.
• Quality-assure notifications and ticket actions.
• Monitor and catalog targeted notification emails.
• Submit tickets to keep triage consoles current.
• Coordinate with external orgs and senior leadership as required.
• Interface with stakeholders using strong verbal and written communication.
