Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Arlington, VA is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Junior Analyst and Triage Analyst to join the CIRT team within the CISO organization. You will monitor, triage, and respond to alerts from SIEM and security sensors, and work with incident response and operations teams to determine true positives and guide resolution.

The role requires 1–2 years in information security, strong communication, and familiarity with security tools and network concepts.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• 1-2 years in information security or equivalent.
• 1 year of event and log analysis with security tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail.
• Familiarity with network/host security apps and tools.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP and protocols.
• Familiarity with malware analysis concepts.
• Experience with indicators of attack and compromise.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux architecture and endpoint analysis.
• Familiarity with basic data parsing tools (Excel, grep, sed, awk, regex).

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents related to policy violations.
• Analyze and investigate incidents to determine nature and scope.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity Incident Response Teams for incident resolution.
• Document incidents and response activities in detail.
• Stay updated with latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
• Assist in developing and refining incident response strategies and procedures.
• Collaborate with operations, legal, HR and management to investigate security issues and interview subjects to determine true/false positives.
