Job summary

Choctaw Casino & Resort Durant is hiring an Entry Level Cook to join multiple dining venues. This full-time role offers $15 per hour and opportunities to learn in a high-volume kitchen, under seasoned culinary leaders.

You'll work across venues such as Grand Cafe, Salt & Stone, Guy Fieri's American Kitchen + Bar, and others, performing basic food prep, following recipes, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain).
• 6 months of culinary experience OR equivalent culinary education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients (wash, chop, slice, peel, etc.).
• Cook food using various methods (grill, fry, bake, steam, braise, boil).
• Ensure food is properly seasoned, garnished, and visually appealing.
• Follow standardized recipes and preparation methods.
• Taste food prior to service to ensure quality.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and rotation.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with kitchen setup, service, and cleanup.
• Minimize waste through proper portioning and production levels.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
