Job summary

Forj Medical is seeking a CI Engineer I to identify, prioritize, and lead initiatives that boost manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance efficiency. You will champion Lean and Six Sigma across the organization and drive measurable business impact through cross-functional projects.

You will analyze data, set continuous improvement goals, coach teams, and sustain improvements while growing ownership in strategy development and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering fields from a four-year college or university.
• 2–5 years in the medical device and/or biotechnology industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Project management and change management experience.
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to plan, organize, and execute continuous improvement activities.
• Establish CI goals and execute plans with manufacturing, supply chain, and QA to deliver results.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to embed a continuous improvement mindset across the organization.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and facilitate collaboration across departments to drive alignment.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers to improve yield, uptime, and throughput as needed.
• Assist Quality Assurance Engineers to address product quality issues as needed.
• Provide training on updated processes and CI methodologies.
• Track CI results and present updates to Forj Medical leadership.
• Influence stakeholders and drive accountability for action items to ensure sustained improvement outcomes.
