Job summary

The Junior Technical Writer at Coast Professional, Inc. will create, edit, and maintain clear documentation, working closely with Technical Writers, Operations and Support teams to ensure materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with standards.

Role includes regulatory compliance research, data entry in LMS and Compliance Management Systems, and supporting audits; strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate cross-functionally are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in collections or related profession required.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, ECOA, UDAPP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting policies and procedures in accordance with business goals, regulatory compliance and legal requirements for all Departments of the company
• Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect process changes
• Develop policies that are simple and clear that are easily understood by all employees
• Develop policies that are comprehensive and able to address questions and situations
• Prepares, packages and presents policies and procedures to management and lines of business for review and approval
• Conducts and attends all relevant meetings associated with job function and completes tasks correctly and timely
• Assist in annual ISO 9001 recertification in relation to policies and procedures.
• Monitor and update Compliance Management Systems, keeping records current and assisting with audits, reporting, and documentation required for regulatory adherence.
• Works with the Training team and others as appropriate to ensure policies and procedures are up to date, including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers as it relates to regulatory compliance
• Support Technical Writers and compliance staff on larger products or tasks, as assigned
• Track and maintain Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training materials are up to date, properly organized, and accurately assigned.
• Maintains cohesive working relationships with all levels of management and lines of business to effectively produce projects and deliverables.
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
• Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
