Junior Commercial Estimator – Aventura, FL | $70,000 – $100,000 base salary (depending on experience) + benefits

About the Opportunity

We’ve partnered with a growing general contractor in South Florida with a strong pipeline of commercial, mixed‑use, and high‑rise projects. They are seeking a Junior Commercial Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants mentorship, exposure to large‑scale projects, and a clear path to grow into a senior estimating role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for commercial and high‑rise projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and addenda for accuracy and scope coverage.
• Support subcontractor/vendor outreach and scope reviews.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site walks, and internal estimate reviews.
• Contribute to conceptual budgets and value engineering efforts.
• Maintain cost databases and subcontractor/vendor records.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Familiarity with construction documents, bid processes, and estimating practices.
• Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and OST/PlanSwift or similar.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related (preferred, not required).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
