Executive Account Manager @ AppleOne Employment Services | Medical Staffing

Employment Type: Full-Time | In-Office

Compensation: $125,000 – $170,000 (DOE)

AppleOne is partnering with a well-established national commercial General Contractor to identify a strong Senior Estimator to join their Preconstruction / Estimating team in Sunrise, Florida.

Position Overview:

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for ground‑up commercial construction projects, typically valued at $20M and above. This role partners closely with internal operations teams, designers, leadership, and trade partners throughout the preconstruction process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates for large, ground‑up commercial construction projects
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and pricing evaluations across all trades
• Lead and support the preconstruction process from pursuit through final proposal submission
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor bids
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, and Ownership during preconstruction
• Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost‑saving initiatives
• Support proposal development, bid presentations, and owner interviews as needed
• Assist with the handoff from Preconstruction to Operations to ensure project continuity
• Track and evaluate market conditions, labor availability, and material pricing trends
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Qualifications & Experience:

• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction
• Proven experience in commercial estimating or preconstruction
• Strong background estimating ground‑up commercial projects valued at $20M+
• Experience as a Senior Estimator or Project Manager with hands‑on estimating responsibilities
• Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Ability to accurately analyze drawings, specifications, and scope documents
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with a long‑term career focus
• Ability to independently perform quantity takeoffs
• Strong blueprint and specification interpretation skills

Proficiency with:

• Experience across diverse commercial project types, such as:
• Light industrial / warehouse
• High‑rise or mid‑rise multifamily
• Hospitality (wood frame or concrete)
• Ability to work independently with minimal structure while exercising sound judgment
• Strong multitasking ability with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
