Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Claims Examiner I in our Insurance department in Lowell, AR. The role investigates and resolves moderately complex auto/general liability claims, negotiates settlements, and prepares reports to ensure timely processing.

You will work with internal and external contacts, review statutes and medical reports, and establish reserves per policy. Opportunities include ongoing education and career growth within a Fortune 500 transportation leader.

Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years in Auto/General Liability Claims or related field
Ability to analyze situations and reach informed decisions
Ability to document information in auditable, organized manner
Strong communication for stakeholder updates and negotiations

Responsibilities

Conduct claims investigations to determine liability exposure.
Manage complex claims with property damage and bodily injury through interviews and evidence.
Negotiate settlements with claimants and representatives to reach final resolutions.
Prepare reports and reserves within approved levels and in line with policies.
Maintain timely status updates to all stakeholders and manage workload.
