Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline; 0–1 years of post-education experience.
• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as in a team.
• Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements; occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support design teams in the execution of project delivery.
• Provide technical input during various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications.
• Perform basic design tasks and drawings using CAD to develop conceptual transportation projects in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads/OpenRoads and/or MicroStation.
• Perform standard computations and analysis.
• Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues.
• Collect data and gather information or documents.
• Attend design meetings and coordinate with team members.
• Develop memorandums and other written technical documents.
• Maintain positive team relationships.
• Assist and coordinate with key staff across disciplines as required.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
