Job summary

GPI is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Site Engineer to join our Bedford, NH team. You will work on site design, grading, drainage, and utility projects under the guidance of senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience across land development, transportation, and municipal initiatives.

You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other tools to prepare plans and reports, participate in permitting processes, and support construction documentation while pursuing professional licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or relevant engineering experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, site development, grading, drainage, and utility design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design, and development of site engineering projects, including commercial, residential, transportation, and municipal projects.
• Prepare engineering design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop site plans and construction documents.
• Support grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility, erosion and sediment control, and roadway design efforts.
• Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and surveyors.
• Perform site visits and field inspections to collect data, evaluate existing conditions, and monitor construction progress.
• Assist with permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Review construction documents and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical problem-solving discussions.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
