Job summary

Timmons Group is hiring a Civil Project Engineer I in Prince George, VA to join the Land Development group. You will design, model, and supervise civil projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, perform calculations, and prepare specifications under senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field with coursework in land development or water resources preferred.
• EIT preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design project components using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard software.
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas and/or computers to solve problems.
• Research and prepare material specifications, installation guidelines, and inspection protocols.
• Work to complete design details and plan sets.
• Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior staff.
• Collaborate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.
• Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports that drive project success.
