Job summary

Timmons Group in Richmond, VA is seeking Civil Project Engineers at multiple levels to join our Land Development teams. You will work in a compact, collaborative group to design, analyze and deliver civil site plans for residential, commercial, and public projects.

Candidates should hold a civil engineering degree, have an EIT, and 2–8 years of related experience; entry-level considered. This role offers growth opportunities and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or closely related field is required.
• EIT certification required.
• Ideal candidates have 2–8 years of professional experience in Land Development civil engineering; entry level considered.

Responsibilities

• Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technology.
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas and/or use computers to solve problems.
• Prepare specifications and materials through research and catalogs for site-related items (materials, installation, inspection, payment).
• Develop design details and plan sets.
• Prepare objective summary reports used in project work or inspections.
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Conduct field observation, inspection and data collection as directed by senior staff.
• Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior staff.
