Job summary

Timmons Group in Prince George, VA is seeking a Civil Project Engineer I to join our Land Development group. You will design components, perform calculations, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to advance infrastructure projects for commercial and residential sites.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s (or master’s) in civil engineering, with knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. EIT is preferred, and the role offers growth, mentoring, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field; land development or water resources preferred.
• EIT preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design project components using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software.
• Perform calculations and use engineering formulas.
• Prepare material specifications, installation guidelines, and inspection protocols.
• Develop design details and plan sets.
• Conduct field observations and data collection.
• Collaborate with client staff and internal design teams.
• Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports.
