Qualifications

• 0–5+ years of Civil Engineering field experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans and specs.
• Physical ability to move materials up to 50 pounds and work outdoors.
• Operate equipment safely and follow safety protocols.
• Proficient communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation for transportation and structural projects (bridges, roadways, parking lots).
• Verify contractor work and compliance with plans and specs.
• Conduct field material testing (concrete, asphalt) and document results.
• Prepare material reports, test results, and material source records.
• Maintain daily inspection logs and coordinate discrepancies.
• Prepare and review pay applications.
• Provide staking/layout support and field measurements as needed.
• Offer constructability/quality control reviews and CAD drafting support during winter shutdowns.
