Job summary

Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Early-Career Civil Engineer as part of our site civil services team within our Infrastructure Engineering Services group in our Richmond, Virginia office. The position will have the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations while also learning the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering (required).
• Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering (preferred).
• Pursue Engineer-in-Training and Professional Engineer licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic & hydraulic analysis.
• Perform stormwater modeling.
• Develop grading and drainage plans.
• Prepare erosion and sediment control designs.
• Develop construction drawings, details, and specifications.
• Develop permit applications for state and local review.
• Review state and federal regulations & permits for surface water.
• Prepare technical reports and stormwater pollution prevention plans.
• Drive to client or project sites as needed.

Skills

Prior internship experience in civil,

Site grading and drainage concepts

Valid U.S. driver's license

Education

Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering

Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering

Engineer-in-Training / Professional Engineer licensure plans
